Scholarship Eligibility and Selection

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Age: The Player is to be aged less than 20 years of age as at 31st January in the year of the scholarship.
  2. Residency: The Player must be a permanent resident of Australia.
  3. Playing qualification: The Player must have begun or still be playing his cricket in a non-metropolitan region before moving to a metropolitan region.
  4. Coaching Qualification: The Player must have attained at least a Level 1 cricket coaching accreditation through the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme, and have the necessary approvals for working with children.

 The Selection Process

  1. Nomination: Young cricketers are invited to apply through both national advertisement and by promotions through state cricket bodies.
  2. Culling of applicants: This is conducted by a committee with advice from each state.
  3. Selection Panel: will consist of nominees of Cricket Australia, Richmond Cricket Club and Adam Gilchrist.
