Scholarship Eligibility and Selection
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: The Player is to be aged less than 20 years of age as at 31st January in the year of the scholarship.
- Residency: The Player must be a permanent resident of Australia.
- Playing qualification: The Player must have begun or still be playing his cricket in a non-metropolitan region before moving to a metropolitan region.
- Coaching Qualification: The Player must have attained at least a Level 1 cricket coaching accreditation through the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme, and have the necessary approvals for working with children.
The Selection Process
- Nomination: Young cricketers are invited to apply through both national advertisement and by promotions through state cricket bodies.
- Culling of applicants: This is conducted by a committee with advice from each state.
- Selection Panel: will consist of nominees of Cricket Australia, Richmond Cricket Club and Adam Gilchrist.
