THE WORLD CRICKET CUP FINAL!
We've made it! We're in the World Cup Cricket Final! And if we continue to play as we have done for this championship, we will win it for the third time in a row!

Glenn McGrath is absolutely "on fire". His bowling is just immaculate! He is as accurate as ever, and he seems to be bowling with greater energy, and consistently bowling with speed, variation and subtlety! What a package.

But he's not the only one. How well is Bracks bowling? And Taity! And Hoggy! And Watto! And Symmo or Clarkey haven't even been needed in games so far. And how brilliant has our fielding been?

Add to this the batting of Haydos, Punter, Clarkey, Huss and Symmo and we have a wonderful package.

BUT WE WON'T BE TAKING SRI LANKA LIGHTLY. They are an excellent team, with a balanced bowling attack, good variety, and a strong batting line-up based on the openers, the keeper and the captain.

Whatever happens, it should be the game of the championships. It has been a long and drawn-out program, but now we're there. The ground should provide a really good, balanced match, and I am sure every one of our fellows will be doing his level best to bring home the trophy again. Haydos and I just have to give the team a good start, (hopefully avoiding the type of ball I received in the last innings!!) and allow the next five or six batsmen to do the job on Murali, Vaas and Company. Then it will be over to Pigeon, Bracks and the others to finish off the opposition.
